I thought taking the Honda Shadow to Florida would be a great idea and save me some money in gas. After I bought the tombstone bag, tour pack, luggage rack, bike cover, rain suite, cigarette lighter and the universal mount for my Garmin, maybe not so cheap. But, I'm looking forward to getting on the road for two weeks of pure fun. I plan on visiting with both of my daughters and seeing my Grand kids. I haven't seen them in quite awhile. My youngest daughter Jessie lives a couple hours south of Orange Park in Polk City. Polk City is anything but a city. It is out in gator country in the middle of nowhere.
I plan on leaving on Good Friday at 6 AM sharp. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. But, if the weather gets ugly I've got my biker buddies back at my work place to help me find the nearest cheap hotel. You can never have enough biker buddies.
